Peter Sims, Co-Founder

Peter Sims is a creative entrepreneur, social innovator, investor, and accidental author and is the Founder & CEO of Black Sheep (BLK SHP), a global creative ecosystem and platform. He was an investor in venture capital in the United States and Europe then became an accidental author, as the co-author of True North, the best-seller that has been selected as one of the top 25 leadership books of all-time. After that, he stumbled into Stanford’s Institute of Design and learned product design and design thinking, an experience that helped Peter view himself as a creative for the first time, so he dedicated himself to writing his second book, Little Bets, for all those with untapped creativity.

A top resource for innovators, it was selected as one of the best books of the year by The Washington Post and Inc. Magazine. Before becoming an entrepreneur, he was a social innovator and co-founded FUSE corps as well as GivingTuesday, the global philanthropic movement that raised roughly $10 billion in over 100 countries for social good causes. He has been a senior adviser at X, Alphabet’s Moonshot Factory (formerly GoogleX), where Black Sheep partners on building new ventures in the sustainability space. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College and Stanford Business School. In all that he does, Peter feels most at home as an “artistic entrepreneur” and social innovator, contributing to making the world a bit more human.
