Sanyin Siang is the founding Executive Director of the Fuqua/Coach K Center on Leadership and Ethics. Her experience in strategic planning, board development, strategic partnerships, and coaching, coupled with an entrepreneurial mindset has helped organizations and executives identify gaps and develop programs for a rapidly changing marketplace. Sanyin especially revels in convening interdisciplinary and diverse groups towards finding and implementing new approaches for complex problems.

She has spoken on leadership, ethics, and science policy to different groups including MIT Sloan School of Business, the international meetings of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS); and Center for Creative Leadership. Sanyin’s writing has appeared in PINK magazine, IEEE Spectrum, Journal of the National Cancer Institute, and Elvesier’s HMS Beagle. Her thought pieces and research have been published in journals such as Science, DNA and Cell Biology, and Science and Engineering Ethics. In 2008, she co-edited a special issue of the Leader to Leader journal (co-published by Wiley & Sons).

Her board service has included the Executive Committee of the National Board of the Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center, editorial board of Clinical Researcher by British-owned Remedica, and the Editorial Boards for the American Bar Association’s Science & Technology Law Section and AAAS’s Professional Ethics Report.

Sanyin received her MBA and BSE from Duke University. She received Duke’s Angier B Duke Scholarship (full academic scholarship) in her undergraduate years.
